The State Bank of India(SBI) has released an official notification inviting all the interested and eligible candidates to apply for the post of Probationary Officers (POs). Interested candidates is required to register online for the recruitment Process( 04.05.2016 TO 24.05.2016).
The online examination will be held in two phases- preliminary and main. Those candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for main examination. Candidates who will clear both the written tests subsequently called for a Group Discussion & Interview. Who all are successfully completed the all rounds will be appointed for over 2200 posts in various SBI branches.
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1986 and not later than 01.04.1995 (both days inclusive). Relaxation of upper age limit is applicable
SC/ST candidates: 5 years
OBC : 3 years
PWD 15 year’s relaxation of upper age limit.
Candidates should have graduation degree or have degree in any discipline from recognizes University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Candidates who are appearing in their last year or last semester examination also can apply to the post, but they have to submit pass certificate on or before 31st Aug 2016.
Application Fee: Candidates should deposit the online application form fee at specified bank. The application fee will deposit Rs. 600/- for general and for SC/ST/PWD candidates.Rs. 100/- .

Selected candidates will get 16900/- as basic salary and they will also get the benefits for D.A, H.R.A & C.C.A benefits.
Preliminary exam pattern :
Preliminary examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks and will be conducted online. It has 1 hour duration and consisting of 3 sections as follows
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning Ability
- English Language
Main Exam pattern :
In main examination, it will consist of objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive Ttst for 50 marks. Both the test will be online. Candidates will have to answer descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of objective test, descriptive Test will be administered.
Objective test has 3 hours duration and it consists of 4 sections for total 200 marks. The objective Ttst will have separate timing for every section. The sections are as follows.
- English Language
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude
- Data Analysis & Interpretation
- General/Economy/ Banking Awareness
How to Apply Online

- select ‘career with us’ link
- check the advertisement details for SBI PO and click on apply online.
- Fill the details with signature and photo
- Press on submit button and note registration no., password.
- Take a print out of fee challan after submission of application form.
Photo : It must be a recent passport size color picture and must be true image representation of the candidates. If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye”. Dimension 200*230 pixels. Size of file should be between 20kb to 50kb.
Signature: should sign on white paper with black ink pen. The signature must be signed only by the applicant it will be used to put on the Call Letter and wherever necessary. Dimension 140*60 pixels. Size of file should be between 10kb to 20kb.

The application fee can be made by using debit card / debit card/ internet banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment. After the successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated which may be printed for record.
